Meetings start with a short prayer, a short agenda (information about the Department of Corrections, other meetings that we attend that might help us in the support of our loved ones, and such issues as telephone bills, legislation we should address, etc.)  We then take time to share our grief or good news with those who attend, and answer any questions members may have.  If we do not have the answer we will research it and then let the member know the answer.  Many times people attend and cannot speak for a few meetings because they are overcome with shame, shock and grief.
